is there a way to decrease the size of the song name and artist?
Activia01 Featured By Owner 5 days ago
In "song information" there are the "right" and "left" .ini
How can i put the song information in the center of the screen?
I was looking at the .txt file but i'm not able to find the solution

P.S: great job man

The bars don't move WHY ?????
Activia01 Featured By Owner 5 days ago
You have to check on rainmeter some setting like "movable" "click through"
suckers123 Featured By Owner Oct 8, 2017
can you add support for groove music player?
MarcoPixel Featured By Owner Oct 8, 2017  Hobbyist Digital Artist
Not for now at least, as Microsoft doesn't have an open API for fetching data from groove.

Do we need a plugin for VLC?
tjhrulz Featured By Owner Oct 7, 2017
Yes, however the plugin for VLC stopped working several versions ago so support right now is not possible.

My song information doesnt change when the song changes, using itunes anyone know how to fix it?

Same Issue
tjhrulz Featured By Owner Edited Oct 7, 2017
iTunes support is currently broken in Rainmeter:…

Blame Apple for removing half the API Rainmeter and other programs use without warning.
shikomartins Featured By Owner Sep 20, 2017
Awesome job, man! How did you configured the Monstercat Visualizer to work with your Spotify? Here, I can't make any visualizer to do so. The Monstercat, for example, I have the music information like artist, song name, album art, progress bar. But, unfortunately, the bouncing bars don´t do nothing. Can you throw a light on this, please?

Is there any way to make the background adjust around the song info stuff, and automatically change lengths in accordance to the text?

btw this is astounding in every way. thanks for making this!

what program do you open this up in, it opens as pdf all the time
DerMaxPower Featured By Owner Sep 20, 2017
Reading the description would help. You need a program called Rainmeter. Just google and install it. Then you can open the .rmskin file. If you need further help you can just search for "monstercat rainmeter" on YouTube.
meand-thesky Featured By Owner Sep 2, 2017
Thanks for this!

Will you be adding the desktop background accent here? and the rounded visualizer if possible?

I have the same problem.I fixed it to try first installing use v.4.0 and installing version 4.1(When you install v.4.1 do not uninstall v.4.0) work for me :)

Great skin i love it!
joe164 Featured By Owner Aug 23, 2017
I can't get any of the sliders to do anything. The check boxes work for like clipping song title or hiding the visualizer, but the bar count, rotation, bar height, or any of those don't work. Tried previous version and it still no good. I have Win 7 pro and rainmeter 4.0.0. I like the skin, (i'm currently using an older version) but I was really looking forward to the rotation option. I only installed the visualizer, do I need to install the other stuff (Chameleon etc) too?
tjhrulz Featured By Owner Aug 28, 2017
Yes, that is why it is not working. All the plugins except the media ones are needed for the basic skin and options.
cwd42 Featured By Owner Aug 8, 2017  New Deviant
Some of the bars are "taller" than the skin height. Anyone else having this? Its a brand new install and i have not changed any settings. Win 10 scaling is at 125%, could that affect it?
tjhrulz Featured By Owner Aug 28, 2017
Turn down your sensitivity, the bars maxing out is because the sound is louder than the bar height.
JoeCoolTM Featured By Owner Aug 7, 2017
any plans to add scrolling to song information?
deadtimeyt Featured By Owner Aug 3, 2017  New Deviant
Can I do this on 2 monitors?
DerMaxPower Featured By Owner Sep 20, 2017
Yes. Without a problem!

Thanks for the skin! I've been listening to music with it and also edited it quite a bit to make it a little more accurate :
pure20 Featured By Owner Edited Jul 20, 2017
So glad it supports GPMDPP now only thing that sucks is having to manually change the variable file to adjust the settings since the sliders aren't working but not a huge issue for me personally.

Edit: Oops downloaded the Github one instead of the adfly one. The adfly one lets me adjust the sliders xD.
MarcoPixel Featured By Owner Jul 21, 2017  Hobbyist Digital Artist
Weird, they should both point to the same file. It seems that it didnt install the necessary plugins at the first try, but glad that it works now.
wingtale Featured By Owner Jul 17, 2017  Hobbyist Digital Artist
Love this! One thing I miss from earlier updates was that when I switched from my speakers to my headphones, a simple reload of the visualizer would have it switch audio devices. Now it seems like I have to manually change it everytime I switch :/ Other than that, it works exactly how I want it to! 10/10 would visualize again

Where was this shit back when I actually liked Monstercat? I was looking for this exact thing years ago.
waowerz Featured By Owner Jul 13, 2017
The album art, song name, and progress bars have seemed to stop working just a few days ago. Just shows the default icon and N/A. Reinstalled and still getting the same issue. Has something happened on Spotify's end?
ygggabe Featured By Owner Jul 9, 2017
I am following instructions on how to download the Monstercat Visualizer from YouTube; the 'Download' button won't appear normally for me, on the right hand side, like for most people. I clicked and downloaded something I shouldn't have and dealt with removing a lot of unwanted programs. HELP!!!
ygggabe Featured By Owner Jul 9, 2017
I figured it out. Just follow the github link here:… and scroll down to the automatic installation process which takes you here:… and scroll down to downloads to the first link here:…. I think I'm just on a newer version of

How do I link my foobar playlists with the visualizer ?

Edit: installed foo_cad plugin and it worked.

Cool stuff
jsherry47 Featured By Owner Jul 2, 2017
68 pages of comments! I really love the work you're doing, as obviously a LOT of others do as well. I'll just ask and forgive me if it has already been handled. Is there a setting I can adjust so the outline of the text will change to dark for light text and light for dark text? I am using the text that changes to the color of the album cover, but the outline is kind of pointless if the text and the desktop are both dark. Does the chameleon.dll work on more than one entity at a time?
MarcoPixel Featured By Owner Jul 3, 2017  Hobbyist Digital Artist
That's actually quite a good idea, gonna look into it.

You can track progress here:…

Hoping to see the framerate of the visualizer to match the refresh rate set on the monitor.
TL;DR 60 fps visualizer looks choppy on a 144 hz display.
